Frequently Asked Questions
Answering your key questions about therapy
What can therapy help with?
Therapy can help with a wide range of issues. Talking with a trained therapist can help you understand and manage overwhelming emotions such as anxiety or depression, improve your relationships and communication, break unhelpful cycles of behaviour, develop your confidence by helping you reconnect with yourself, and improve your overall wellbeing.

Can therapy reduce stress?
Yes, therapy can help reduce stress by helping you understand where your stress is rooted. This can then allow us to work together to help reduce its impact, leading many people to feel more in control and improve their overall life.

Can therapy improve my sleep?
Yes, therapy can help improve your sleep because working through the things keeping you awake at night can help you finally let go of them. People often find they finally get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling refreshed after working through the causes of their stress.

How does couples therapy work?
Couples therapy is an agreement between you as individuals and the therapist to be completely open and honest in a respectful way. In couples therapy, we work together to:
-
Improve communication and active listening between partners
-
Rebuild trust after betrayal or disconnection
-
Resolve recurring conflicts or misunderstandings
-
Deepen emotional intimacy and connection
-
Navigate major life changes (parenthood, loss, moving, etc.)
-
Create healthier boundaries between partners
-
Create shared goals as a couple moving forward

Can therapy help if I have ADHD or Autism?
Yes, therapy can help you understand how ADHD or Autism impacts your thought processes and behaviours, allowing you to develop healthy strategies to manage them moving forward. Many clients either come to me with a fresh diagnosis of ADHD or Autism or suspect through our sessions that they are Neurodivergent and find that therapy is incredibly beneficial for them.

How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is an individual and there's no hard and fast rule about how long therapy takes. That being said, most people see some form of progress within 6-8 sessions.

How much does a session cost?
One-to-one sessions are £50 and last for one hour. Couples sessions are £80 and last for 90 minutes.

Which days do you work and where?
All therapy sessions take place on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from my therapy room in my home in Norwich.
